Vivian spent quite a while carefully applying the ointment before rewrapping the bandages with precision. Once finished, she let out a sigh of relief. "All done. Now, put your shirt on. This storage shed is way too cold."
She had brought along a down jacket for him today. It was bought specifically for Manfred's size.
After Manfred changed into his clothes, Vivian immediately handed him the down jacket. "Try this on. We wear these all the time during winter where I'm from. It's really warm. You can wear it when no one is around, but if someone shows up, just hide it."
She wasn't going to let him freeze.
"Down jacket?" Manfred looked at the down jacket in Vivian's hands, suddenly feeling a little envious of the world she came from—so full of marvels. It was filled with things he had never imagined. Even the blanket she had brought was unusually warm.
"Yeah, try it on. I bought it based on your size. I bet you'll look way better in it than the guys at my school," Vivian said, her eyes sparkling with sincerity.
If Manfred were in the modern world, not even the most popular celebrities could rival him. He followed her instructions and slipped on the jacket.
The long coat offered excellent protection against the cold. It was surprisingly light yet warm, and its design was straightforward.
"How do I look?" Manfred asked nervously, looking at Vivian.
Vivian's eyes lit up when she saw him, and she gave him a thumbs-up. "You look amazing! Wait, you probably say 'handsome' or 'good-looking' here, right? But honestly, in this jacket, you look unbeatable. No one can compare to you! I have my phone with me; let me take a picture for you."
She immediately took out her phone to snap a photo of him. However, when she pulled it out, she could only check the time—no other functions worked.

More chapters please...
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
