Willow’s heart shuddered.
She had almost exposed herself.
Too many words led to more mistakes.
Jasper lifted her chin and turned her face to him.
With a grave expression, his sharp gaze stared straight at her, threatening to pierce her through.
His pressuring stare only made Willow more nervous. Her heart was bubbling like boiling water.
The corners of her lips tugged awkwardly in an attempt to smile. She tried to keep calm on the surface. “Please, only children play with balls and needles. No adult would be careless enough to puncture your tire.”
“You seem to be very concerned about my tire,” Jasper said in a deep voice.
He lifted her chin higher as his eyes darkened.
Willow found his intimidating aura dangerous, so she squirmed uneasily, hoping to escape his embrace.
She was terrified. “No, I was just curious so I went to look and accidentally pulled the needle out. I would do that to anybody’s car.”
Willow was trying to dissociate herself from his car.
It would be horrible if Jasper found out that it was her son who punctured it.
Hence, she said that she would do the same to anybody’s car.
That statement annoyed Jasper.
“Since you’re good at angering me, you should take responsibility,” Jasper said darkly.
He was already unnerved by her scent and fair skin.
When she started squirming, he could feel her tenderness through their clothes as her body rubbed his.
He tightened his hold on her waist, pulling her closer. He held her firmly to prevent her from moving around as his lips closed in on her with the intent to punish her.
His arm was like a vice grip on her slim waist. She couldn’t move.
As his strong masculine aura surrounded her, her heart started to pound as if a magnetic field was sucking her in.
Her eyes widened when she saw his handsome face close in. She quickly shut her eyes.
