Willow maintained her smile. “Yes, I am.”

Yelena scanned her from top to bottom before clicking her tongue and strutting over to Jasper’s office in her high heels.

Her arrogant attitude made Willow uncomfortable, but Willow had no choice but to follow her with a smile since she was Jasper’s friend.

“Go back to your room. You don’t have to follow me. I have something personal to discuss with Jasper.” Yelena cast Willow a contemptuous glance before knocking on Jasper’s door.

Willow backed away and returned to her room without saying anything.

She wouldn’t have followed Yelena if it weren’t part of her job. She wasn’t interested in the private conversation Yelena was about to have with Jasper anyway!

Jasper was reading an agreement in his office. Assuming that Willow was the one knocking on the door, he said without looking up, “Come in.”

Yelena entered the room and her voice was suddenly a pitch higher. “Jasper, you ignored me after our rushed meeting last time. I miss you so much that I can’t even eat or sleep.”

Swaying the slender hips she was very proud of, she strutted over to Jasper’s desk and put both hands on the table. She was flirting with Jasper by blinking her eyes, looking soft and tender.

Her voice gave Jasper goosebumps. He looked up to see Yelena directing her delicate act and flirty gaze at him.

He frowned. “Ms. Anderson, I made myself clear the last time. You shouldn’t be here.”

The last time?

Yelena recalled Jasper mentioning that he already had a lover last time.

She had left feeling defeated.

However, she now knew the truth. Jasper was merely bewitched by a woman’s despicable scheme.

She also had Frank’s support in pursuing Jasper so that she could become the future Mrs. Hughes.

When she heard that Frank had investigated her and found out that she had a boyfriend, she quickly explained it to him and apologized.

She did have a boyfriend in the past, but they had already broken up. The most recent guy was just a persistent admirer that she didn’t accept.

For the sake of proving her feelings for Jasper, she had called that guy in front of Frank to break things off between them and asked him to stop pursuing her.
