Matthew understood how Selina felt.
Selina couldn't accept this.
Neither could he!
Even though he wasn't related to Yesseca by blood, he had grown to love her like his own sister.
He was the calmest person there.
He kept his composure while everyone else was losing theirs.
He felt especially helpless as he slowly watched Yesseca waste away a little bit more everyday.
"Selina, there are many things that people can't accept in this world. Nothing will change even if they refuse it." Matthew continued hoarsely, "We will need to accept many things that we don't want to. No matter how painful it is, we have to grit our teeth and get through it. That's life."
Selina said nothing as an extreme wave of guilt and pain overwhelmed her.
Right now, Tremaine was making full use of all of his available resources to help Yesseca.
After arranging everything, he walked into Yesseca's ward.
Preslie was by Yesseca's side.
She stood up vigilantly the moment she saw him walk in.
Tremaine walked over to Yesseca’s bed, completely ignoring Preslie. He stopped in front of her.
He then took a very close look at her.
He took in just how weak and frail Yesseca was. He imprinted they way she looked into his brain. Seeing her like this truly hurt Tremaine, it felt like a sharp razor blade had sliced through his heart.
"Yesseca," Tremaine called out.
He sounded hoarse.
Yesseca didn't reply to him.
Preslie stood up. "What are you doing here? Yesseca doesn't want to see you!"
Tremaine continued ignoring her.
He stared straight at Yesseca.
Right at this moment, nothing else in the world mattered to him. Yesseca was the only thing that meant anything to him.
"Preslie," Yesseca said suddenly, "You should leave."
