My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 119

Chapter 119

In the small and cramped fitting room, the atmosphere grew heavy and stagnant as Esther revealed her wounded back. The lights illuminated her figure, accentuating her thinness, which only added to the heart-wrenching sight.

Bradley looked at the wounds on Esther’s back, and his breathing became heavy and intense. He reached out and grabbed the collar of her shirt.

Esther took the opportunity to reach out and hug his waist, resting her head against his chest.

“The woman in the video isn’t me,” Esther said in a low and hoarse voice. “She really isn’t me.

Bradley stiffened and spoke calmly with a hoarse voice. “I know it’s not you.”

“Then…” Esther lifted her tear-filled eyes and asked softly, her voice distant like fluttering. snow, “Let’s not fight or get a divorce, okay?”

Bradley lowered his head slightly, his gaze falling on the hair swirl on top of Esther’s head. Esther’s breath was light and shallow against his chest.

“Okay.”

Esther was exhilarated upon hearing that. “Really?”

“Really.”

Overjoyed, Esther tiptoed and pressed a light kiss on the corner of Bradley’s lips. Her kiss was like a petal gently landing on Bradley’s lips and disappeared in an instant.

A sob-like sound resembling a gentle breeze in the woods escaped Bradley’s throat. His gaze involuntarily fell on Esther’s face, where a faint blush like the morning glow painted her

porcelain complexion.

“You can go out now.” Blushing, Esther pushed Bradley out of the fitting room.

As soon as Bradley stepped out of the fitting room, he saw the sales assistant holding other clothes. “Mr. Warner?”

Bradley replied indifferently, “Let her try them on.”

“Understood.” The sales assistant entered the fitting room with the clothes while Bradley

walked over to the sofa and sat down next to Felix.

“Daddy, Mommy would look really good in this one, this one, and this one!” Felix excitedly pointed at the clothes in the catalog and said non-stop, “Daddy, what do you think?”

“Whatever you like,” Bradley replied, sitting on the couch with one hand resting on the armrest. His fingers unconsciously touched the corner of his lips that Esther had just ldssed.

Her light kiss was like a spark that ignited his heart, and now a fire was burning within him. He felt his mouth dry. Unable to control himself, he picked up the drink on the table and

finished it in one gulp.
