Chapter 387
Felix and Sunshine looked extremely cute when they heard this and said, “We support you!”
Anna was surprised by how in sync the two children were. She chuckled helplessly and asked, Do you two even know what’s happening?”
“Felix’s Daddy’s a big meanie and a very bad man!” Sunshine said, placing her hands on her hips. “You must divorce him, Mommy!”
“Mommy, if the judge asks whether I’ll choose to stay with you or Daddy, I’m definitely choosing you!” Felix said, wiping the tears from Esther’s eyes. “It’s okay, Mommy. I’ll protect you.”
Esther held Felix and Sunshine tightly in her arms, overwhelmed by her emotions. She had been naive in the past, thinking Bradley was her entire world and that losing him would make her life meaningless. But now, she finally realized that her children meant the world to her. She couldn’t live without them, not Bradley.
She knew she could fearlessly face whatever obstacle was in her way as long as her children stood by her side.
“I’m so happy! So, so, happy!” Esther muttered.
Slightly tipsy, Esther danced in the garden with Felix and Sunshine under the moon. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
Felix and Sunshine soon grew tired from all the dancing and yawned. Anna would definitely not let Esther bathe them in her drunken state, so she had the service staff do it instead.
Meanwhile, Anna brought Esther back to her bedroom. “I’ll go brew you a cup of tea to help you feel better.”
Esther shook her head. “No need. I want to write something while I’m drunk. I know I won’t be able to write it while I’m sober. I’ll break down from all the pain if I do that.”
That night, she needed to properly part ways with her youth, her love life, and everything else from the past. She wanted to put into words how she had fallen in love at first sight, how wonderful and heart-thumping her first love was, and how fearlessly brave she had been.
Bradley had destroyed not only her love life but all her fantasies about family and the future. And now, it was time for her to wake up from her dream and face reality, the future.
