My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 567

Chapter 567

Mandy glanced down at her pale, intertwined fingers, reminiscing about her previous life as Liliane. There used to be a small mole at the base of her thumb. It might have seemed unsightly, but a fortune-teller had called it a mole of prosperity, predicting a life of wealth.

She had to remove it to fully become Mandy, despite her past self’s reservations.

A sneer of irony crossed her mind. She had once thought Bradley and Esther were inseparable, but reality shattered that illusion.

She had almost celebrated when she learned about Bradley’s liver cancer. She believed Esther would marry Chadwick as leverage against Bradley.

‘Kevin wants to tell Bradley the truth? Hah! I’ll ensure Bradley lives in blissful ignorance until the end. The look of betrayal on his face when it’s all done will be my sweetest reward,’ Mandy thought.

“Mr. Warner, please refrain from speaking ill of her,” Mandy said, her words laced with charm. “She’s a delicate woman who’s willing to go to great lengths for you.”

Kevin nodded vigorously, seeing Mandy in a new light, Maybe her stern facade was just a cover to please her overbearing brother?

“Don’t mention that worthless woman,” Bradley snarled. He hadn’t expected to be detained for Esther to cozy up to another man.

“Mr. Warner, Esther is the mother of your children. The woman who gave birth to three lives for you,” Mandy pointed out. “When you call her worthless, who are you really insulting? Her, yourself, or maybe even your own grandfather’s judgment?”

Kevin knew that threats against Bradley had forced Esther’s hand, but he couldn’t reveal the truth yet. Hel had promised to keep it a secret until after Bradley’s medical procedure.

Mandy whispered, “Mr. Warner, my brother and Esther are on their way out.”

Kevin looked at Esther, standing at a distance. Her face was pale, her eyes clouded with anxiety and

doubt.

“Mr. Warner, we’ve reached an agreement,” Chadwick declared with a hint of triumph. “You’ll have custody of Felix. But she is, after all, his birth mother, so you should let him visit her occasionally.”
