Valerie, after several hours, was finally able to meet her twins: a beautiful girl and a handsome boy. The woman couldn’t stop crying. These little angels were the spitting image of Marcus, and it hurt her. The mere thought of sharing her life with a murderer filled her with anxiety. She never could have imagined such a horrific scene. Marcus, the man who once stole her breath, the man who loved her, the one who showered her with affection and attention, had a dark side. No matter how hard she tried, seeing her little ones hurt her. 

“Val, my love, what’s wrong, daughter? Look at the little ones, hold them. They need you. Help me breastfeed them…” Camille said gently. 

“Camille… Please, take them away. I don’t want to see them” Valerie said, pushing the tiny babies away. 

“But Val…” 

“Don’t bring them closer! Please…”

Camille felt a tightness in her chest. This wasn’t the Valerie she knew. It was clear that she was deeply affected. The babies needed her, they needed their mother’s warmth She couldn’t understand the rejection mother. 

“Take them away, Camille! I don’t want to hear them…” 

“Val… my dear, they need you….” 

“They’re the children of a murderer! Don’t you understand that?” Valerie shouted, her voice breaking- 

“Beautiful… they are not to blame! You and Marcus made these babies with so much love. I’m sure there’s a good explanation for what’s happening with Marcus, Please, don’t reject your children. The first few hours are crucial. They are premature, they need all of their mother’s love and warmth.”

A nurse passing by heard the mother’s muffled cry and quickly entered the room, finding Valerie crying desperately. She then looked at Camille, who was holding one of the crying babies. 

“Ladies, what’s going on?” the nurse said, upset. 

“Tell her I don’t want to see the children!” Valerie yelled. 

Camille swallowed hard as tears began to roll down her cheeks. The mother was rejecting her own babies. She couldn’t believe this painful situation. 

“Ma’am, it’s better we let the mother rest. Don’t worry, the babies will be taken to the nursery, and they’ll be well cared for and fed. These little angels don’t need to go through this painful situation, and we shouldn’t force the mother to accept something she can’t right now.” 

“Miss… Will they really be okay?” 

“Don’t worry… These little ones will be fine. Take them to the nursery while I try to calm the patient.” 

Camille left the room, pushing a small cart with the babies. Her throat was blocked by a huge knot, making it difficult for her to swallow.
