“Mr. Bartz is still in Valentia, currently living in Florentia. Apparently, his wife is hospitalized at the Rosaria hospital.” 

Anthony Moriarty drank his whiskey in one gulp and then said: 

“Send the men for him and take him to the Moriarty mansion. It seems Marcus needs me to make it clear that I don’t want him in this country.” 

“Sir, but…” 

“What do you mean, 

‘but‘?” 

“What about the scandal with Peter Palmer?” 

“Peter is dead to me! I don’t care about him… Let the devil take him, I’m helping Bartz, not the Palmers.” 

“Frank Levett Jr. is still receiving good support from our opposing party. He’s pulling a lot of strings to do what he’s doing.” 

“Didn’t I make myself clear? Peter Palmer could die today, tomorrow, or in a month. I don’t care about saving a Palmer. I owe nothing to that family.” 

“Alright, sir!” 

“Before you go, how’s Frederick doing? Has he handed over all the information he has?” 

“Yes, the man had plenty of data, apparently all provided by Peter Palmer.” 

Anthony Moriarty stared at his assistant with a deadly gaze. The assistant seemed to not understand that he didn’t care if that Palmer had redeemed himself. He was still a Palmer, and to Judge Moriarty, all the Palmers were 

nothing but scum in the country, disguised as rich people. 

[Diana’s Department] 

“Maximus Palmer, I give you 24 hours to get your brother out of the hospital where you’ve placed him. Your damn brother is living out his youth love with my wife. Yes, after that time, if you haven’t gotten him out of the country, there will be no power on earth that can help him. He knows very well who I am and knows what I’m capable of.” Marcus said as he drove his truck at full speed, trying to push away the pain from the scene he had witnessed. 

Marcus had tried to stay calm. He knew that if he made the mistake of killing Peter right then and there, Valerie would never forgive him. Unfortunately, despite all the harm his wife’s actions had caused him, he couldn’t stop loving her. He had clung to her presence for those 15 years, and to him, even her view of him mattered. 

“Marcus, what the hell are you talking about?” 

“I’ll say it again, Maximus, You’ve got damn 24 hours!” Marcus said angrily and then ended the call. 

“Peter, what the hell did you do now?” Maximus said aloud. 

“What’s wrong, darling?” Diana asked, bringing him a drink 

“My damn brother! That’s what’s wrong. I don’t know what the hell he did, but it’s got something to do with Valerie, because Marcus just gave me 24 hours to get him out of the country.” 

“Oh my God! What are we going to do?”

“For now, I’ll ask Theodore to take him out of Valentia. He’s already on his way to the hospital. He’s the only one who can take him out. I still have to deal with the news of his existence…”
