Chapter 110
There were plenty of people coming and going in the hospital corridor. Candice felt more relaxed after getting
some time to catch her breath.
She didn’t want to say anything else to Alex and simply went to the restroom.
Luckily, there weren’t many people there. She stopped by the sink and then looked at herself in the mirror.
There was still a teardrop at the end of her eye and her makeup was ruined. She was a mess.
Candice silently took out her makeup kit and redid her makeup. Then she placed her hands on the sink.
closing her eyes to rest for a moment.
Her grandfather’s incoming call was unexpected. Candice’s mind went blank for a moment and she only then
remembered that she hadn’t explained to her grandpa about anything that had happened here.
She took in a deep breath and picked up the c

The voice of an old man rang, the worries inside of his tone unable to be concealed. “Candice, what

After that, she quickly said, “You should rest, Grandpa. I still need to find out more from the doctors.
Everything’s going to be alright.”
Her grandfather let out a sigh of relief–and said. “Peach’s health is important; but so is yours. You need to take care of yourself.”
After finishing the chat with her grandfather, she stayed in the restroom for a while before going out.
She didn’t expect to see Alex waiting right outside as soon as she left the restroom.
He frowned slightly as he looked at his phone.
When he heard the footsteps, he put his phone away and looked at Candice, a sneer on his face. “You’d rather sacrifice yourself to be an angel. You’re so generous.”
Candice’s hands trembled, and she said, “I’ll deal with my own problems myself.”
“How?” The sneer in Alex’s tone became even heavier as he scanned her from top to bottom. “How much are

Candice had to use all the strength she had to maintain her composure, so that her expression wouldn’t betray her.
“This has nothing to do with you at all.”
With that, she walked toward the ward.
When she was at the door, she encountered Hanley, who had just finished making a call. He had to pick up a call from downstairs as soon as he got out of the doctor’s office just now.
