Hanley's last sentence was spoken quietly, and Candice didn't quite catch it. "What did you just say I should promise?"
Hanley stood on the balcony of the villa, looking downstairs where Ryan, Nadia, and a few others were barbecuing. He paused and said, "The temperature in Solaris has dropped recently. Take care of yourself."
Candice hummed an agreement. "Do you think it's good for Aether to cooperate with Burning Star? According to the analysis, a cooperation between Burning Star and Aether is indeed the best choice for the Redshade tender.
"Regardless of the savings in manpower, material resources, and time costs for both parties, all aspects will be very cost-effective. Moreover, there is no company more suitable than Aether in Dorrington at the tender."
Hanley listened to her serious analysis. When she finished, he then asked again. "Do you want to give a go at submitting to Redshade's tender?"
Candice answered almost without hesitation. "Of course." She was inherently someone who would not accept defeat, and the more challenging something was, the more she liked it. When she answered Hanley, she did not even realize how dazzling the confidence in her tone was.
Hanley smiled and said, "Then go for it. If you need anything, just let me know."
Candice agreed before ending the call with Hanley. Then she switched on her computer, checked the newly modified rules, and compared them one by one with the table she had prepared earlier.
After Hanley hung up, he turned around and saw Yana standing at the door with her arms crossed, looking at him meaningfully. "Finished with your call? Playing the role of the passionate supporting male lead?"
Hanley remained expressionless. "What are you doing here?"
"I was going to tell you that Hannah asked you to pick her up from the hospital tomorrow morning, but accidentally overheard your phone call." She clicked her tongue, looking Hanley up and down with a look of disappointment. She shook her head and said, "With your attitude, I don't think you'll ever have a wife.
“You should take care of yourself. If a normal man wants to pursue his girlfriend, it would be the best time to immediately buy a plane ticket and fly to Solaris to deliver his coat to her, instead of just saying 'take care of yourself.' What, you think if you don't remind her, she wouldn't take care of herself?" Yana's words were harsh, but after she finished speaking, she sighed. "Hanley, being so cautious isn't a good thing."
