Chapter 0073
Candice paused for a moment before realizing what he meant. She frowned and asked hesitantly, “I don’t think
I can?”
“Why can’t you?” Hanley asked as he straightened his back. “I thought you wanted to learn about exhibition planning?”
Candice’s fingers curled as she looked at her arm that was bandaged. “My hand’s injured. I can’t help you.”
She wanted to explain more to Hanley but simply heard him say in a nonchalant tone, “I don’t lack anyone to help me with miscellaneous jobs. Not to mention that I’m inviting you to come and learn. Do you really think that this is something you can master in a few days?”
Candice still shook her head. “I just don’t want to cause any trouble for you.”
Hanley then said, “Just how much trouble can you cause?”
His attitude piqued Candice’s interest for sure. She also knew that it was a rare opportunity to be able to learn
this from Hanley.
After agreeing to Hanley’s suggestion, she followed Hanley back to his studio, seeing that she had already taken her sick leave and had nothing to do in the afternoon.
When Hanley brought her in, a few youths inside were arguing about something. When they saw Hanley come back, all of them shut up and greeted him, calling him “boss”.
Hanley turned around and glanced at Candice. “Take a seat wherever you like.”
Candice looked around. The entire studio was filled with things. There was only one desk in the comer, and
there was no place for her to sit.
When the youths inside the studio saw Candice, they were all stunned. One of them, a woman with glasses, scanned her. Then, she took a deep breath before asking Hanley, “Boss, you’ve been hiding your girlfriend?”
“That’s right,” a man who was wearing a plaid shirt nodded.
Hanley glanced at them and couldn’t be bothered to say anything. Instead, He grabbed a design draft from the desk and asked, “What were you doing just now?”
When they had to talk about work, the two of them immediately put on their game faces. The woman with the glasses said, “In the earlier draft, I believe that it will be better if we use marble for the frame. It’s aesthetically more appealing as well as being more practical.”
The man in the plaid shirt let out a cry. “Practical? Do you really know what practical is. Nadia Spencer? Do you know how much the marble will add to our budget?!”
