Chapter 467 Nothing Else

Mr. Webster smiled gratifiedly, “I will feel more at ease with you helping me care for him in the future.” 

Mr. Webster’s words made Janet feel helpless, so she calmed down and explained to him.

‘Grandpa, I did stay here last night.”

Janet explained helplessly in Mr. Webster’s knowing eyes, “But nothing happened between him and me. I came to talk to him yesterday, and his stomach hurt, so I stayed and cared for him for a while.” 

“As a result, I accidentally fell asleep and woke up now.”

“Is it really just to take care of him?” Mr. Webster dragged out his tone, which was full of ambiguity.

Janet nodded repeatedly, “That’s true! Nothing else.”

Mr. Webster glanced teasingly at Janet’s shirt, “Then why did you change into Nathaniel’s clothes?”

Janet was taken aback, looked down, and then realized she was wearing Nathaniel’s shirt.

Mr. Webster interrupted Janet’s hasty explanation as if he understood it all, “You’re a little girl, you must be too

Janet quickly took the things Mr. Webster handed over, “Grandpa, just call me if you need anything, you don’t have to go find me in person.”

She took it in her hand and saw that it was a sachet. It was made of gold thread and looked very exquisite.

“Grandpa, what is this?”

Mr. Webster stroked the beard under his chin, “I went to church and begged for it To bless the marriage between you and Nathaniel.” 

“Marriage?!” Janet’s expression froze.

He misunderstood, didn’t he? 

There was no relationship between her and Nathaniel.
