By the time Nina Morrison gets dressed after an exhausting shower, the man is already neatly dressed sitting on the couch in the living room.
He takes a cigarette between his fingertips, and the smoke makes his deep eyes as dim as night. He just looks at Nina Morrison fixedly.
Expressionlessly, Nina Morrison walks around him to the porch. She changes her shoes, picks up her bag and prepares to leave.
“What are you doing?” Lucien Gray’s anger is rising again. Why can't this woman ever be tamed? From her, she totally ignores him!
Nina Morrison says in a cold tone, “Since you don’t want to leave my home, I'll go.”
She stresses the words “my home”.
Lucien Gray puts out the cigarette butt and throws it into the trash can. With a few strides, he steps in front of Nina Morrison and pushes her against the door, “You promised to meet Nelson with me on Saturday! And now you want to stand me up!”
Nina Morrison looks up to him, the mist of tears slowly pour from the her big eye, “When I left five years ago, you said you’d never force me to do anything in my life again! I broke my word. What about you? Have you kept yours? You are more shameless than I am!”
Lucien Gray is stunned.
The words said five years ago are still lingering around the ears. Nina Morrison is right.
The room is full of the stifling silence.
It takes a long time for Lucien Gray to slow down his tone and say in a slightly bitter voice, “Do you really like Raymond Lauren?”
What on earth is this man talking about? Nina Morrison thinks his head must have gotten into water. “I don’t like Raymond Lauren, but that doesn’t mean I want to be controlled by you! Is there anyone in the world more tyrannical and selfish than you? Did I invite you to my house? Did I allow you to touch me? You don’t have the right to judge my private life!”
What Nina Morrison said later Lucien Gray can’t hear anymore. He repeats happily , “You really don’t like Raymond Lauren? You have nothing to do with him?”
Nina Morrison closes her eyes in exhaustion. She really doesn’t want to be obsessed with this problem anymore. If Lucien Gray is jealous of Raymond Lauren, he’s stupid and really doesn’t know her.
Lucien Gray’s voice becomes more lower with a little bit of bitterness, “I thought you were going to be attracted to him. He...looks like your senior —Troy so much...”
—Troy. Lucien Gray also recognizes that Raymond Lauren looks like —Troy.
