Stephen didn’t think too much about William’s response and nodded. 

“Ms. Felix, please take a seat. I’ll go find some water for you,” he said. 

Then, he scurried away. 

“What are you doing in such a secluded part of Osmo?” William asked. 

Linda lifted her camera and said, “I’m just here to scout for locations.” 

“Are you about to film your movie?” 

“Yeah, more or less. If I finish filming this year, it can be released in winter next year.” 

“You can ask me for help if you need it.” 

“I’ll be sure to ask as soon as possible if I need your help. However, I don’t think it’ll be necessary. I have my own company and people who can help me.” 

William said to her, “You don’t need to treat me like that. I really think we can get along as friends.” 

Linda wasn’t exactly against that idea. 

Even though most people wished to never see their exes again, it was hard for someone like Linda and William not to meet once in a while because of their respective careers. 

Since they would have to meet every once in a while, then they might as well be nice to each other. There was no need to be so vicious toward each other. 

“William, I’ll tell you the exact same thing I’ve been saying all this while. I’m very happy now. I enjoy my current life. The only thing I ask from you is not to affect my daily life.” 

Linda still couldn’t be completely nonchalant at the sight of William. 

After all, she had loved him for so many years. 

“Are you really happy like this?” William couldn’t feel Linda’s happiness at all. 

“Why don’t you think I’m happy? You’ve never seen me when I’m happy. How are you supposed to know if I’m happy or not?” 

Linda’s question had left William speechless. 

To be fair, he had also never truly been happy before. 

To be exact, he might have been happy at one point, but in the end, he had barely brushed his fingers with happiness before pushing himself into the deep abyss he was in now. 

“Linda, if I didn’t treat you like that back then, would we have ended up together until the end?” 

Linda didn’t know why William asked that question, but she answered 

anyway. 

“If things weren’t so complicated between us, I would probably have wanted to spend the rest of my life with you four years ago. However, after all that happened, we are going in completely different 

directions now.” 

Back then, Linda had dreams about spending her whole life with 

William.
