“How would you know whether I’m libsy?” William asked Linda, 

He squatted down and hold his hand out for Lexi. “Lexi, can I give you a hug?” 

Lexi was very naive as she was still young. She thought William was nice because he had given her presents before. 

She immediately threw her arms around William and said, “I’ve been eating a lot of food these days, so became very heavy. If you can’t carry me for long, I can walk by myself.” 

Lexi was a very straightforward girl and didn’t hide the fact that she was a little chubby. 

William loved hugging her because Lexi was incredibly adorable. 

“You’re not heavy at all!” William said gently, as if Lexi was his daughter. 

“I don’t think I’m heavy either, bert Daddy kept saying I was getting chubby. I think I got heavier, but not by much,” Lexi said. She was rubbing her chin and seemed to be deep in thought. 

“Lexi, I think William must be busy with something. You should get down now. Let’s go play somewhere else,” Linda said. 

Linda had a sudden flashback when she saw William pick Lexi up. 

What would have happened if their child hadn’t passed away five years ago? 

Would they also have been a happy family? Would William be a good father to their child? 

Linda once thought she would have a happy family with William. However, that was nothing but bygone times now. 

“Ive finished my work today,” William said to Linda. Then, he looked at Lexi and said, “Where’s your dad?” 

Lexi replied before Linda could say anything. “Mommy told me that Daddy had to take care of something at his company. That’s why he left, and Mommy is the only one accompanying me today.” 

“I see. Would you welcome me to join you two? I’ve nothing else to do today.” William asked. 

Lexi didn’t know how to answer William. She felt that Linda didn’t really like William. She looked up at Linda and said, “Mommy…” 

Linda knew Lexi couldn’t make a decision and was looking at her for help. 

“Lexi, we’re here to have fun with you today. If you would like to, you can invite William to join us. You can decide for yourself,” Linda said. 

Lexi didn’t know what she meant exactly. All she understood was she could make her own decision. 

“I want Uncle William to stay and play with us!” Lexi said.
