Chapter 317
Michael felt embarrassed for a moment.
Soon, the event started. Many directors returned to their seats. The hall wasn’t much different from a university auditorium.
The seats were close together, so if anyone spoke any louder them a whisper, anyone nearby could hear everything clearly.
Linda and Lina exchanged looks.
“Mr. Lloyd, I believe everyone should have a little self–awareness. If you had any, you’d leave this cow instead of staying here and making a tool of yourself. “It’s affecting our mood, and you’re not being polite,” Lina said courteously, not uttering a single nude word
However, it left Michael speechless. He had no choice but to turn and retum to his seat
Linda whispered to Lina, “I never realized you’re so good at insulting people.”
“That’s because you don’t know me at all I’m full of spice. Don’t mess with me. I don’t care if you’re my boss. I’ll roast even you directh Her eyes were full of malice.
Linda quickly sat up straight, trying not to provoke Lina. It was best to avoid trouble altogether. Besides, Lina didn’t seem to be joking.
Linda didn’t win any awards for this film festival. In fact, she didn’t even get past judging. She was just here for fun. She was also here to make some new friends that might help her future film projects.
On the car ride back, Lina’s phone kept ringing
“Who’s calling you?” Linda asked.
“It’s Jimmy. I really think something is wrong with him,” Lina replied, annoyed
Linda suggested, “Why don’t you just answer him? Maybe he really needs something?”
“What could he possibly need from me? Lina shot back, leaving Linda stumped for a moment.
That was true–they didn’t have much to do with each other
the schedule with you.”
Besides being the head of Media’s talent department, Lina was also Linda’s manager. She handled most of Linda’s schedules.
