Linda spoke softly, her voice tinged with a hint of sorrow, as she used a voice changer. The sweet and cutesy tone she adopted was truly heart-wrenching to hear.
Elisa quickly reassured and explained, "No, no, how could I not want you as a friend? It's just that I've been very busy lately. Can we meet tomorrow and talk in detail?"
"Okay," Linda nodded.
In the next moment, Elisa tentatively asked Linda, "Melinda, would you mind if I bring someone along?"
Upon hearing Elisa mention bringing someone along, Linda instantly became puzzled. As the main person in charge, Harry must be present. If Elisa wants to bring someone else, could it be... Rachel?
The thought of Rachel immediately soured Linda's mood. She didn't really want Rachel to be there, but she couldn't outright refuse Elisa either.
So, she asked, "Is that someone to discuss this project with?"
Elisa nodded. "Yes. He's also interested in discussing the Western Suburbs project. If a few of us partner up, we can surely accomplish more."
If she's interested in discussing the West Suburb project, she's not Rachel. Linda contemplated the people around Elisa. Could it be Gareth? Harry is clearly interested in Elisa. There's no way Elisa wouldn't notice this. And now, Gareth is also paired up with Elisa. These two are now romantic rivals. If Elisa were to bring Gareth along and the two rivals meet...
She truly couldn't comprehend what Elisa was thinking.
But she couldn't voice her thoughts, so she could only respond sweetly, "Sure. Then let's meet tomorrow."
"Sure thing," Elisa agreed and promptly hung up the phone.
Subsequently, Elisa turned to look at Gareth. Gareth was just quietly looking at her, devoid of any emotion, and showed no intention of speaking.
