When Noelle returned to her apartment, she was rather distracted. She knew that this was Xenia's doing.
Her disgusting actions had disgusted Noelle indeed.
She ruminated for a moment before calling to make a report of her own. "I would like to report someone for cheating on their examination."
Noelle would give Xenia a taste of her own medicine.
Although Noelle wasn't sure whether Xenia cheated, based on her usual cheating practices, there was a high chance she'd done something during the exam.
She wanted to give Xenia a hard time.
While Noelle was leaving the house to shop, she saw a familiar car parked by the side of the road.
She sped up and pretended like she couldn't see it.
"Noelle."
Lucas hurried over. "I'm here to warn you."
Noelle smirked mockingly. "That's funny. I never needed you to do all this."
"Frank's disease is more severe than expected. He couldn't handle his work and Donovan found out about what happened. He also knows that you are the state valedictorian."
"So?"
"Donovan caught a flight back tonight. You know that temper of his. My suggestion is for you to move back for now. After he leaves, you can move out again. Frank and I will keep your secret."
He knew that Noelle had moved out because they hurt her. He had to atone for his sins.
Noelle hadn't expected Donovan to come back.
However, he was always going to come back eventually after her exam. It was the same in her last life.
Noelle had to face him eventually.
She said coldly, "There's no need for that."
"Noelle, there's no need to go up against him forcefully. You'll be the only victim. It might even implicate Cedric. You know how he is. He'll do anything."
