Grace smiled. "Are you going on a date, Noelle? You're even wearing a skirt today."
Noelle swirled around. "How does it look?"
"It's beautiful! Your legs look so flawless. I'm so jealous." Grace realized what she had said and quickly changed the subject.
Noelle grabbed her bag and headed downstairs. As she walked, she noticed someone had spilled their takeout on the stairs, making the floor dangerously slippery.
She thought for a moment and texted Grace: "The stairs here are a hazard. Remind our roommates not to take this way."
Grace checked the photo and glanced at their new roommate, who was sitting at her desk. "If you're heading out later, don't use that staircase. Noelle said someone spilled their food and didn't bother to clean it up."
The new roommate was surprised before murmuring, "Thanks for the warning."
Grace didn't say anything else. Their new roommate was quiet, and they coexisted peacefully.
Noelle went straight to the gym without changing clothes, heading directly to the boxing area. She spotted Cedric leaning against the ring with his phone, seemingly sending a message.
A mischievous idea crossed her mind. She crept up behind him, intending to surprise him. But just as her hand reached his eyes, she was pinned down. His reflexes were astonishingly fast.
Noelle looked up at him, stunned. "It's me."
Cedric chuckled and lifted her onto the edge of the boxing ring. He placed his hands on either side of her and leaned in. "Your sneak attack was too slow."
"How was that slow? Your reaction speed is just insane! Why are you so on guard all the time?" Noelle was surprised by how many skills Cedric had up his sleeves.
She looked up while Cedric stared at her. Their eyes met, and Noelle's heart raced as she stared at his handsome face.
Cedric's gaze darkened, and he brushed his lips against hers. Noelle tensed before deepening the kiss.
