Noelle just stood silently by the side, watching as Xenia's face turned red with anger.

Xenia spoke with an aggrieved tone. "Blake, I'm also a part of the Liddell family."

"You're not worthy!" shouted Blake before rolling up the car window, no longer intent on talking with her.

Noelle walked over and glanced at Xenia. "Did you really think that your little tricks would last you a lifetime? That is unless you can keep up the act forever. Unfortunately, you've failed."

Xenia's expression darkened instantly.

She deeply regretted not listening to her father and continued putting up an act in front of Blake.

But Blake's attacks were too painful for her to bear. At the time, his reputation was in shambles, and he was about to face a lawsuit from Noelle.

Xenia thought Blake was done for and no longer bothered to keep up the act in front of him. She never expected that Blake and Noelle would end up joining forces.

The car drove away right after Noelle had gotten into it.

Xenia was left standing by herself, stomping her feet in frustration. She swore that once she and her father had drained the Liddell family of everything, she would make them pay for everything they had done.

Meanwhile, inside the car. Noelle glanced at Xenia, left on the road, and asked, "Aren't you afraid that she'll complain to Donovan?"

It was what Xenia excelled at doing, after all.

Blake remained silent for a while before replying. "Donovan's the only one still protecting her now. Everyone else already knows what kind of person she is."

"Yeah, most people only realize how painful it is when they're the one that gets hurt. I get that feeling," Noelle mocked him and said nothing more.

Blake hesitated for a while and then asked, "There is still plenty of work to do at the company. How do you plan to handle them?"

"You'll take care of them. I don't really have the time for that right now," she replied.
