Noelle had originally prepared a script of harsh language, of which Grace had even helped her come up with the lines. But at that moment, Cedric was standing right in front of her, and she had only finished saying a single sentence before tears started streaming down her face.
Even she herself had not expected to cry that hard.
Cedric was stunned. He immediately used his towel to wipe her tears for her. "I was not with any other woman that night."
Noelle shoved his hand away. "Cedric, I've been thinking things through for the past few days. I think we should break up."
His pupils contracted the moment he heard the words 'break up.' He refused her without even the slightest bit of hesitation. "No, I won't agree to this."
Noelle wiped her tears and continued, "Whether you agree or not doesn't matter, Cedric. I'm serious when I say that we're not right for each other."
Cedric was slightly angered. "Noelle, we've only been together for such a short time. How do you know that we're not right for each other already? Or are you suggesting that we break up because you've fallen for another guy?"
He realized that was the reason why she had been ignoring him for the past few days.
Noelle slapped his hand away. "Say whatever you like. Weren't you the one who said that there would be plenty of handsome guys my age in university?
"Weren't you the one who said that I'd start a new life there? You were right; I get along better with people my own age."
Cedric stared at her with a deep gaze, seemingly hiding a storm of emotions. "Noelle! I know that you're just saying all of this out of anger."
"I mean all of it! Let go of me! I'm leaving!"
He pinned her against the ropes in the boxing ring with a firm grip and explained, "You got me into this. Do you think that you can just break up with me whenever you like and walk away?"
He lowered his head to try and kiss her, and she just turned her face away to dodge him. But in the end, she could not possibly match his strength.
