No Remarriage for us Stay Away (Lenora and Zachary) novel Chapter 513

Chapter 513 The Father Of The Child
After wrapping up the bridal photo shoot with Sophia, Lenora quickly dove back into her other photography assignments. Despite her busy schedule, she managed to find time to visit Harrietta in the hospital twice after work.

She sat on the other side of the hospital bed, watching as the nurse changed Harrietta's dressings.

“The wound is healing quite well. We should be able to have the stitches removed tomorrow,” said the nurse.

Harrietta lifted her young face and asked, “Can I leave the hospital after the stitches are removed?”

“Yes.”

“Yay!” Harrietta turned to look at Lenora, dancing with joy.

After dinner, Lenora led Harrietta for a walk downstairs.

Suddenly Harrietta let out a sigh.

Upon hearing the sound, Lenora looked down and saw Harrietta with a troubled expression, appearing like a miniature adult.

Lenora couldn't help but chuckle, asking, “What's wrong? Why the sigh?”

Harrietta glanced up at her, saying, “Aunt Lenora, my uncle came to visit me this morning.”

Upon hearing that, Lenora immediately understood that Isla's brother had visited Harriette. Members of the Wilson family have arrived in Jacaster. Are they here to seek out Matthew? Are they hoping to get Isla out earlier?

“What did he say to you that has you so distressed?” Lenora asked.

“He gave me a lot of money and asked me who I wanted to be with in the future. Of course, I said I wanted to be with Uncle Zachary. He then said that once Ms. Isla gets released from the police station, they will send her away. He told me she wouldn't bother me again.”

With a raised eyebrow, Lenora asked, “Isn't that just perfect?”

It seemed she had unfairly judged him with a petty mind.

Evidently, Isla's brother also disapproved of Isla's actions.

Harrietta twiddled her index finger. “Yes... However, initially, I thought he came to plead on behalf of Ms. Isla, so I wasn't very pleasant toward him...”

Lenora chuckled. “Don't worry. He surely won't hold it against you. If he's still in Jacaster when you get discharged, just invite him to dinner. Don't equate him with Ms. Isla.”

“Okay.”

Harrietta nodded, glancing at Lenora before gently touching her belly. “Aunt Lenora, why is the little one so small...”

That faint curve was barely discernible, revealing nothing.

“Hattie, you were just as small at the beginning. Just wait a bit longer, and he will grow up.”

“When will he be born?”

“We still have six months left.”

“That's still a long time to go.”

The two of them strolled and chatted at the same time.

Right then, Lenora caught sight of a familiar face. “Ms. Schmidt? Mr. Schmidt?”

Not far off, Madison, dressed in a hospital gown, was visibly pale. Assisted by Arnold, she was slowly moving around.

Arnold was wearing a troubled expression, uttering something under his breath.

Upon hearing the sound, both father and daughter simultaneously looked up.

Lenora noticed Madison's difficulty in moving and quickly walked over with Harrietta. “Ms. Schmidt, have you been hospitalized? Are you all right?”

Arnold wore a look of helplessness, heaved a deep sigh, yet said nothing.

Madison tugged at the corner of her mouth and said, “It's not a serious illness, Ms. Wilkin. Don't worry.”

Seeing that she was reluctant to speak, Lenora didn't press her for more information. “As long as you're okay, that's all that matters.”

“Ms. Wilkin, we're heading back now.”

“All right.”

Once they were at a safe distance, Arnold couldn't help but utter with frustration, “What on earth are you planning?”

Arnold was a traditional and honest man. As his daughter grew older, he seldom interfered with her personal affairs. Despite living under the same roof, he was completely oblivious to the fact that Madison was pregnant.

When Madison suddenly went into premature labor, Arnold felt as though he had been struck by a thunderous bolt, leaving him scorched on the outside but tender within.

At that point, there was no use in saying anything anymore.

Just as Arnold was anxiously waiting outside the operating room for news of his grandson, another bolt from the blue struck.

Madison had a miscarriage.

Arnold wasn't bothered by it.

Upon seeing Lenora enter through the mirror, Harrietta touched her forehead where the nurse had applied iodine and asked with a hint of vanity, “Aunt Lenora, will this leave a scar?”

“Absolutely not.” Lenora approached, carefully inspecting her injury as she climbed up. “The mark is faint, so it will surely fade in a few years. Even if it doesn't, you can always cover it with a fringe. It won't affect your beauty in the slightest, Hattie!”

“I want to get a haircut right now.”

“We'll do that after we leave the hospital.”

“All right!”

The two emerged, one after the other, from the restroom. Zachary looked at Lenora and asked, “What's wrong?”

Lenora touched her own forehead before pointing at Harrietta without uttering a word.

“Uncle Zachary, I'm going to get a haircut. I want a fringe.”

Zachary understood and, with a smile, gently patted Harrietta's head. “All right. I will take you for a haircut, and after that, we'll go for a big meal. How does that sound?”

“Okay!”

“What would you like to eat, Hattie?”

Harrietta tilted her head in thought before answering, “KFC.”

After completing the discharge procedures, Harrietta left the hospital happily while holding Lenora and Zachary's hands. Life is truly better without Ms. Isla around. I hope she never appears again in the future. Never again!

Upon leaving the hospital, Zachary instructed his driver to head to a certain shopping mall.

Within the shopping mall, there was an upscale hair salon, as well as a KFC.

On the road, Zachary answered a phone call. “Hello, Uncle Nathan. Really? Congratulations! Sure. Nora and I will definitely be there. Okay.”

After he hung up the phone, Lenora asked, “Was that a call from Uncle Nathan? What's the matter?”

“Mindy has just given birth to a baby boy. He's invited us to the first month party next month.”

Upon hearing the news, Lenora was taken aback. “Has she given birth already? That fast?”

She knew about Mindy's pregnancy, but considering the timeline, she wasn't supposed to give birth to the baby just yet.

“Something happened, and the baby came prematurely. Fortunately, the child is all right.”

“Oh...” Lenora nodded, chuckling. “Aunt Griselda used to always nag Stanley about getting married and having a family of his own. Now, he's managed to accomplish it all in a year.”
