“Little one, are you here by yourself?”
Timothy nodded obediently. “The nanny brought me here. My mom and dad are both very busy and can’t be with me. But I’ve always gone to the hospital alone before. If you have any questions, you can ask me. I know all about my condition.”
Felicia furrowed her brows, looking both incredulous and displeased. “You’ve always been by yourself?”
Did they really just leave their child alone after giving birth and falling seriously ill?
Timothy nodded again.
Felicia was momentarily speechless, not knowing what to say.
She flipped through Timothy’s medical records again and found that both Whitney and Joshua had been tested for compatibility, but neither matched.
It was not impossible for direct relatives to be incompatible, but it was extremely rare.
She glanced over Whitney’s examination report.
Her gaze stopped at the blood type.
As far as she knew, Joshua was also type AB.

She quickly scrolled to the top with her mouse, her eyes widening slightly.
Timothy, surprisingly, was type O.
Two people with type AB could never have a child with type O blood…
While Felicia was still in shock, she heard Timothy mumble, “Doctor, am I going to die?”
Felicia’s heart trembled, and she suddenly didn’t dare to look into Timothy’s eyes. She shook her head and pretended to speak lightly. “From your records, you cooperate very well with treatment. You must be a sensible and obedient child. How could you possibly die?”

Chapter 28
That evening, Felicia took the initiative to call Gideon.
“Abby’s compatibility test might need to wait a bit longer. Her condition is very stable, so maybe…”
Maybe they could wait a little longer.
She was not a saint.

Nor did she want to know why Joshua and Whitney didn’t even have time to accompany their child to the doctor.
She just suddenly remembered Timothy’s big, watery eyes.
His eyes were a bit like Whitney’s in shape, but without the sharpness or intensity. They were more like Abigail’s–polite and mature, speaking calmly and sitting upright, listening to her talk.
Gideon noticed something off in Felicia’s voice. “Is there a problem with the compatibility tests?”
“There is a boy. His situation…”
Gideon’s Adam’s apple moved slightly. He knew that the boy who had come alone to see Felicia today was Joshua’s son.
But he remembered Whitney’s shocked accusation: “You investigated me!”
He opened his mouth slightly but, in the end, said nothing.
Before hanging up, he only reassured Felicia, “We will keep looking for a match. Your clinic duty won’t end until the end of the month. Tomorrow, I’ll have the medical team fly to Portland, stay next door to the house, and provide Abby with constant support. I won’t let anything happen to her.”
Gideon’s words seemed to have a magical power, always able to put Felicia at ease.
She stroked Abigail’s sleeping face and spoke with difficulty, “Mr. Logan, I really appreciate it.”
Gideon replied as always, “There’s no need to be so polite with me.
