Chapter 892
Third Person’s POV
That was why Lycan Erasmus decided to let Germain return to Hudson City first.
In fact, Lance didn’t think it was a good idea to let him go at this time
As long as the werewolf warriors secretly protecting Germain remained hidden, they’d have to stay by his side around the clock if he remained in New York.
But once he left, he might leave some of the warriors in the Blue Abyss Pack, which would pose a huge threat to New York’s security.
Lance frowned deeply. Why, after all this time investigating, did these warriors were still impossible to
track down?
“They keep insisting on inviting Paisley to the Blue Abyss Pack. That’s very unusual.”
Caldwell rubbed his chin and thought for a moment. What he was about to say might come across as a little rude, but he said it anyway.
“Alpha Germain probably has a thing for Paisley and wants to claim her. We could use that as a reason to start a conflict with the pack.”
“No,” Lance refused without even thinking.
“We’ve already checked the pack, and those mercenares aren’t there. There’s no point in doing this. If anything, it’ll only put Paisley in danger.”
“You’re right, my plan has too many flaws.”
Caldwell smiled and lightly tapped his own mouth.
“I’d rather not have this kind of opportunity. It’s nearly impossible to hide anything in the Blue Abyss Pack. If they actually hid mercenaries there, they’d be far too bold.”
“Let’s wait and see for now,” Lance said.
“Once they get back to Hudson City, Alpha Germain will definitely have to figure out what to do about those mercenaries.”
Over the next two or three days, Sidney kept sending people to invite Paisley to visit the pack, saying ther was a grand party and she should come have fun. Every time Paisley received an invitation, Adelaide would anxiously stop her from accepting it, so she declined every one of them
After being rejected most recently, Sidney couldn’t help but complain to Parsley, her pheromones unged with bitterness.
“You’re the closest thing I have to family in New York, so why won’t you even come over’ Don’t tell me

you’re so used to living in the luxurious Blackthorn Pack that you think my place is beneath you, Sidney said.
Since Sidney was about to leave New York and they probably wouldn see each other again, Paisley didn’t bother keeping up the polite facade anymore.
“Closest family? Sorry, that’s not how I see it. I’ve never considered you my sister at all,” Paisley responded.
Sidney was so stunned that her eyes widened. A suppressed growl rumbled from her throat, and the luna’s aura turned razor-sharp, scorching like molten metal.
“I didn’t expect you to be this heartless! Fine, since you’re the one cutting ties with me, don’t come crying to me when you regret it later!”
Paisley gave an indifferent smile and unleashed her dominance, crushing Sidney’s in an instant. Unprepared for the pressure, Sidney staggered back several steps.
“Cut the crap. I’ve never had any connection with you. You and your disgusting, hypocritical mate are the worst excuses for wolves I’ve ever seen!” Paisley snapped.
She had always been afraid of Paisley’s unmatched fighting ability, fearing that if Paisley shifted into her wolf form, she would lose control and attack her. When Paisley’s eyes turned red, as if she was about to shift in anger, Sidney could only cover her head and run, fleeing the Blackthorn Pack like her life depended on it.
***
Before Germain left New York, Adelaide decided to keep a close eye on his movements, not relaxing for a single moment. Knowing exactly what Germain was after, she sent Wendy to monitor the Blue Abyss Pack. Her greatest concern was that Paisley, despite promising to stay out of it, would secretly interfere and help her and Lance investigate the mercenaries.
For the past two or three days, Paisley had been coming to the Independent She-Wolf Center as usual, and there was nothing unusual about her schedule.
Only then did Adelaide gradually feel at ease.
The Independent She-Wolf Center and the She-Wolf Academy had gradually gained acceptance among New York’s ordinary werewolves.
But this also brought unexpected problems. Adelaide hadn’t expected the She-Wolf Academy to run unto a series of issues as soon as admissions began.
There were simply too many young she-wolves who wanted to get into the school by relying on their
noble connections.
These she-wolves had no interest in actually learning anything. They only wanted to network with New York’s major packs and other young she-wolves their age, building political connections for the future
