Besides, if she really got expelled, it would bring shame to the entire Styxwarden Pack, and she would likely be cast out of the pack altogether.

For the three she-wolves, that was the longest hour of their lives.

When Valerie finally called time, they immediately ran to the shade of the trees, collapsing on the ground.

They exchanged glances, their pheromones turning sour and metallic with raw anger. They were sure this incident would make them a laughingstock among their classmates, and they couldn’t let that happen.

So they decided to strike first by taking the matter straight to Lena.

In the entire academy, Lena was the only instructor they truly respected. In class, Lena often introduced them to the customs and traditions of different regions across the Northern Kingdom. “So… you think the headmistress was wrong to punish you?” she asked.

Laila froze, clearly caught off guard by Lena’s reaction.

“N-no… that’s not what we mean,” she blurted out.

“We just think that even the headmistress shouldn’t be allowed to humiliate students however she wants.”

Lena’s face darkened, and her suffocating aura slowly spread through the room. The three she-wolves instinctively lowered their eyes.

“Humiliate?” Lena’s voice turned cold. “From where I’m standing, this was a completely reasonable punishment.

“The headmistress’s responsibility is to maintain the academy’s standards and discipline. And honestly, I’ve heard quite a bit about how you’ve been acting lately. Tell me-what exactly did she do wrong by punishing you?”

“But-” Laila began.

if you still have a problem with it, I suggest you go back to your pack and ask Alpha Stanley whether a werewolf who disrespects someone of a higher rank should face consequences. Frankly, I think Gamma Adelaide went easy on you. If I had been the one to catch you, I would have expelled you without second thought.”
