Chapter 272
Mason began, “Dr. Hart, this is Jenna Zahn, Jenton’s Miracle Doctor. She’s here to learn about your treatment plan for Kyle and hear your thoughts on the case.”
Jenna smiled politely and nodded. “Sorry to trouble you, Dr. Hart. I’m simply carrying out orders, so I’m sorry for any inconvenience I may cause.”
Despite the courteous smile, her gaze never left Joseph’s.
Jenton’s Miracle Doctor? If that wasn’t just flattery, then earning a title like that at her age meant her medical skills must be exceptional. The Zahn family sure had strong foundations. She was this talented, yet he’d never even seen or heard of her.
She really did live up to the name of someone belonging to a mythical-tier family. The Zahns probably had hidden talents everywhere.
Joseph was now far more cautious, but he had a plan nonetheless. Without another word, he unlocked his phone, pulled up Kyle’s examination reports and treatment records, and projected them onto the screen.
Then, he calmly repeated the same explanation he’d given before.
Jenna sighed. “This is truly excellent. Your medical knowledge is remarkable. You know even more than I do.”
Jenna couldn’t find a single flaw in Joseph’s explanations. She thought to herself that either her instincts were wrong or Joseph was simply a cunning old fox.
Still smiling, she asked Mason to give them some time alone.
After Mason left, Joseph said, “If you have something to say, then say it. But if you’re here to pin Kyle’s death on me, then your motives are highly questionable.”
Jenna said, “Kyle is actually a part of the Zahn family. His real name was Kyle Zahn. When a member of the Zahn family dies, we always make sure we investigate it thoroughly.”
So Kyle was actually a Zahn? No wonder Yvonne endured all that abuse without resistance. And it was also no wonder that Cora willingly helped cover everything up. So everything traced back to the Zahns. Cora really was connected to the Zahns.
Though Joseph’s mind raced, his expression remained perfectly composed.
He said, “I’ve only just recently heard of the Zahn family. I never imagined a family like yours to exist in Jenton. To be honest, I find it rather tragic. We doctors devote ourselves to saving lives, and yet some people use their power to save criminals.
“If Kyle hadn’t died, I would’ve liked to see exactly how your family intended to clear his name.”
Jenna replied coldly, “That’s none of my concern, nor is it something I intend to discuss. All I’m responsible for is finding out what you did. You’re the one responsible for Kyle’s death!”
Jenna fixed an icy stare on Joseph.
Joseph snorted. “You people sure love coming up with baseless assumptions. If you weren’t called the Miracle Doctor, you should just call yourself the Miracle Politician instead.”
Jenna pointed at Joseph. “Joseph, I know you tampered with his treatment. If I’m right, the two times you treated Kyle, you poisoned him. The poison was colorless and odorless. It’s unavailable anywhere on the open market,

which is why none of us detected it. But I’m certain that you did it.”

Her expression practically screamed that she would never relent until she managed to pin this on joseph.
