Shirley didn’t answer. Instead, she said, “Actually, I was planning on talking to you. You should return all the money Jonas gave you before he died to the children and me. We need that money to survive.”

Cora replied, “I had an agreement with him. As for the children’s living expenses, I’ll provide them in installments and ensure they receive the best resources at every stage of their lives. So, you don’t need to worry about that.

“Also, Jonas didn’t mention giving you a single cent at all. You won’t be getting any money from me.”

Shirley said coldly, “You adulterers are all the same. You two really are the same. You’ve transferred away every cent that should’ve belonged to me. I hope you die a horrible death.”

She reached for the door handle, only to find that Cora had locked the doors.

Cora said, “You’re not leaving until you tell me how Jonas died.”

“If you want to know badly, go to hell and ask him yourself.” Shirley knew the conversation was over. Rather than struggle, she calmly pulled out a bottle of perfume and sprayed it inside the car. Then, she took out a second bottle.

The moment she did that, Cora’s eyes widened. She recognized Joseph’s handiwork immediately. The moment those two perfumes were mixed, they transformed from a beautiful fragrance into an unbearable stench that could make anyone nauseous.

She had suffered through it herself. The concoction wouldn’t kill her, but it would leave her in a pathetic state.

Without another word, Cora unlocked the doors and let Shirley out.

Afterward, she found out where Joseph was and headed straight to his company.
