Joseph gazed at Cora and saw that her brows were furrowed. He thought to himself, “Cora, when Jonas and the others had me thrown out of the hospital, you just stood by and let it happen.

“You thought it’d be better if I left the hospital. Do you regret just letting them push me out back then?

“Where are you going to find me now? Do you even have the right to ask me to come back and help out at the hospital?

“Now that Mr. Banks Senior is ill, the Banks family will definitely fall into turmoil. Your family is one of their closest business partners. Have you realized your family’s interests are at risk too?”

Mason said, “We’ve been trying to contact Dr. Hart for some time, but he turned off his phone. He didn’t leave any other way for us to reach out to him, so we haven’t been able to track him down.”

Bernard asked, “Have you called the police? Get them involved, and have them track him down.”

Mason replied, “If we call the police, it’d complicate things. Since Dr. Hart doesn’t work at our hospital, we don’t have a legitimate reason to have the police open an investigation. You’re Dr. Hart’s family. You could call the police.”

“No need for that. Joe isn’t missing. He just didn’t turn his phone on. Or maybe his phone isn’t working.

“Go ahead with the surgery. We’ll do our best to reach out to Joe,” Cora said. She had no other way to find Joseph unless she resorted to extreme measures.

For example, she could pressure his friends-the Gould siblings or Yelena. But doing so would only provoke Joseph.

Even if they managed to track him down, what if he still refused to save Michael? What could they possibly do to him then?

Cora looked around at the group of specialists gathered there and realized many of them were renowned experts. Aside from the veteran doctors of the Zahn medical sect, almost every renowned doctor in Jenton was present.

Was it possible none of them were a match for Joseph? Cora refused to believe that. She glanced at the head of the Banks family, indicating that they needed to make the call-to proceed with the surgery as soon as possible.

After all, cerebral hemorrhage was not something to be taken lightly. The sooner the treatment, the better the

outcome.

Finally, the Banks family agreed to let the hospital proceed with the surgery. Mason and the others had a discussion and decided to have a renowned surgeon perform the operation. After finalizing the treatment plan, the consultation came to an end.

Joseph, Jenna, and the other doctors went to the observation room to watch the surgery. She sat next to him and asked in a low voice, “What are the chances of this surgery succeeding?”

“Just have faith in their medical expertise.” Joseph’s expression was calm.

He was paying attention to Cora, Bernard, and Helen, who were sitting nearby. Seeing how concerned they were, he could tell how close the Lowell and Banks families were.

After observing for an hour, Joseph signaled to Jenna that it was time to leave.
