“That’s not true,” Cora insisted.

Yasmin scoffed. “You don’t get to decide what the truth is just by denying it, Cora. Considering our past relationship, I’ll give you a piece of advice.

“Don’t you think Joseph might already know about your daughter? He might actually be taking advantage of the situation to kick you while you’re down. After all, men can’t be trusted,”

Cora refused to give in. “I don’t think Joseph is that kind of man.”

Since she got nowhere with Yasmin, Cora tried contacting Yara again.

However, Yara had suddenly adopted a completely different stance. She insisted that because Henry was now a member of the Zahn medical sect, Cora would have to apologize to him first if she expected him to let the matter go.

“To hell with the Zahn medical sect. Yara, you bitch. You’re just trying to humiliate me. You’ll pay for this eventually,” Cora cursed under her breath. She still hadn’t forgotten the old grudge from when Yara tried to draw blood from her daughters. Now, there was yet another score to settle.
