Joseph reacted quickly, catching Pamela Zahn as she started to slump to one side and gently laid her on the couch.

Jenna rushed over to help. Lowering her voice, she asked, “What are you up to? Are you really going to kill her?”

She recalled Joseph drawing a finger across his throat, and a chill ran down her spine. If anything went wrong, she would be the one bearing the brunt of the consequences.

And Joseph? He could just say, “Henry Jebb killed that woman. What does that have to do with me?”

“You’re overthinking it. I’m a law-abiding citizen; I don’t go around killing people. I just like helping them!”

He adjusted Pamela’s position on the couch, then asked Jenna to keep an eye on her while he stepped out to grab a few things.

Upon returning, Joseph locked the door from the inside and approached Pamela, preparing to implant a chastity seal on her.

“Where… Where did you get that?” Jenna asked, double-checking the lock on the door. It would be incredibly difficult to explain if someone walked in on them now.

Even though Jenna was secretly delighted to hear that, she was still a little worried. “Are you sure there aren’t any lethal side effects? What if they suddenly drop dead? We’d be in deep trouble.”

Joseph smirked. “If they’re that into each other and end up dying in bed, it would just be written off as a massive scandal. No one would dig any deeper.”

He quickly cleaned up the area, covered Pamela with a blanket, and slipped out of the room.

Once Pamela woke up, Jenna had her driver and attendant come by to pick her up.

Meanwhile, Jenna sought out a fellow student from the medical sect and tried to replicate the acupuncture technique Joseph had used to knock Pamela out. Ultimately, her attempt failed.

“I really am no match for you…” Jenna sighed to herself, beginning to grasp just how unfathomable Joseph’s skills truly wère.

Joseph kept a discreet eye on the department office. Finally, he watched Pamela and her entourage leave later that afternoon.
