A Man with Nerves of Steel (Joseph Hart) novel Chapter 571

Chapter 571

Did Joseph really want to steep with Fiona? Of course not! He just wanted to strip away the people working for Cora, cut off her support system, and see who else was lurking in the shadows

Cora had been fooling around with Skylar behind Joseph’s back, and perhaps with other men too. She had even taken milk baths with Warren and gotten involved in some highly questionable dealings with Jonas and the rest of them.

There was a lot more that Joseph didn’t know about.

When a woman like Cora was in trouble, someone would always be ready to step in and protect her.

Joseph wanted to know what else Cora was hiding from him. Stripping her of everything was probably the quickest way to find

out.

Fiona’s fiance-the one Natalie mentioned earlier-was probably Andrew Collins. He had most likely already been released from custody.

“I used to be a good doctor,” Joseph muttered to himself. “I always played by the rules and saw the best in everyone around me. I was grateful for everything society had given me, and I wanted to give back in every way I could.

“But the truth was, the worst monsters were right by my side. I’m not the man I used to be. Fiona got Andrew to beat people up. I’m sure I wasn’t his only victim. He’s definitely done the same to others.

“He thinks he can bully others with his fists? Fine. I’ll make sure he can never hurt anyone again!”

Joseph ordered one of his men to have a word with Andrew. If Andrew refused to heed the warning and chose to take Fiona’s money anyway, then Joseph would deal with him on his own terms.

Once everything was taken care of, Joseph realized Yara hadn’t come looking for him, so he left the hospital to visit Beatrice.

While receiving his usual massage, Joseph felt so relaxed that he drifted off to sleep. By the time he woke up, Beatrice and Alice had already prepared a meal. Surprisingly, it was quite delicious.

Joseph discussed the preparations for their treatment. Once the timing was right, they would proceed with the patellar transplant.

Alice shot Joseph a meaningful look, but he ignored her, adding, “Finding a suitable donor won’t be easy. After all, people only have one pair of eyes. Who would willingly give them up?”

“Me. I’ll donate mine,” Alice said without hesitation.

“No. I don’t want your eyes. I’m fine living like this,” Beatrice said quickly. “Henry, don’t listen to Alice. Don’t give me her eyes. I don’t want them.”

“Her eyes aren’t a match for you anyway,” Joseph said gently. “You don’t even have the same blood type. If a transplant were that simple, there would be nothing stopping people from harvesting organs off the street. Don’t give up, though. There’s still hope for you.”

Joseph began to see Alice in a new light. She hadn’t hesitated for a second to offer her eyes to Beatrice, and he could tell she genuinely meant it.

Even though Alice and Beatrice weren’t biologically related, they relied on one another and had always been there for each other. They seemed even closer than actual sisters.

But Joseph had seen his fair share of betrayal, so he remained quietly skeptical about whether their bond would stand the test of

time.

Two days later, Joseph was giving Gemma a massage in the office when Yara suddenly summoned him to her hospital room.

The moment he entered, he heard her singing softly to herself. Her voice was beautiful and melodious.

Yata was truly full of surprises. Joseph quickly plastered on a smile and said, “Your voice sounds lovely, Yara. You could make a career out of singing You’re incredibly talented.”
