Joseph went to his office for smoke. After weighing his options, he went to Skylar’s room and used acupuncture and an epinephrine injection to wake him.

Joseph said, “But don’t worry. You and Yara will continue to receive the same level of care. Once you’ve recovered and been discharged, you can ask Mr. Zahn Senior for a house. “But I don’t want to drag her down either. I guess I’ll let her find another man to take care of her,” Joseph said, unfazed by Skylar’s threat. If he hadn’t wanted to take his time tormenting Skylar, he would have already gotten rid of him.

And once Owen took back Skylar and Yara’s money, the support and privileges they had been receiving would drastically reduce. The other Zahns might see them as a burden and abandon them for good.
