Natalie whined. “I’m broke! I don’t have anything left! You’re going to have to support me from now on.”

Natalie was furious with Joseph, but she couldn’t do anything about it. Now that Joseph had risen to power at the Traditional Medicine Center again, he could easily stop her from seeing Skylar.

Feeling wronged, she choked up.

She started playing the victim. “Cora gives me a hard time at home, and now I have to put up with you bullying me here too? You guys just pick on me because I don’t have a father to protect me. You’re awful!”

“Heh, so it’s everyone else’s fault, right? Heaven forbid you look in the mirror.”

Joseph gave a self-deprecating laugh before adding, “But let me ask you this, Natalie Zahn. Do you even deserve to be catered to?”
