Chapter 704
et’s meet some other time.”
Even Yelena didn’t know Joseph was hiding out at the Traditional Medicine Center, so if she wanted to see him,
she would have to work around his schedule.
It wasn’t long before Natalie showed up again. She kept complaining about Cora sinking a fortune info Hart Group, but what really bothered her was that it would make getting money from Cora even harder.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, she had gotten her hands on a paternity test that showed Natalie had no blood relation to Skylar.
“Uncle Henry, look at this! My mom is pure evil. Just so she can stay with that idiot Joseph, she’s actually trying to erase my biological connection to my real dad.”
“You’re the idiot. You have no idea what’s going on,” Joseph thought, annoyed by her words.
He checked the date on the paternity test. It was from a few days ago and issued by an accredited institution. A court would absolutely accept this as evidence.
But even if Cora presented this, it only proved the children weren’t Skylar’s. It didn’t prove they were Joseph’s.
If Cora actually followed the plan she talked about with Henry and had the children undergo a bone marrow transplant, Joseph and the children would carry matching DNA in their bloodstreams. And that would successfully fabricate a false biological relationship.
He feigned shock. “What’s going on here?”
“A few days ago, when you weren’t at the Traditional Medicine Center, my mom made the staff draw my real dad’s blood right in front of me for the test. Today, she threw the results in my face. Tell me what I should do.”
“I see! So who do you believe more? Your fool of a dad Joseph who stepped up to raise you, or your scheming mother?” Joseph asked.
“I definitely don’t want that idiot as my real dad. Skylar is my only father! Uncle Henry, what should I do?”
“This is pretty sudden. I need to talk it over with Yara and the others. Go on back for now.”
Joseph sent Natalie away, then used the office landline to call Cora. He cut right to the chase. “Ms. Lowell, Natalie just showed me the new paternity test.
“I didn’t expect you to actually solidify the evidence like that. I guess that means you’re finally laying your cards on the table.”
“Arrange for us to meet. Preferably somewhere no one else knows about.”
Cora hurriedly hung up, clearly busy with something else.
Joseph spent a moment theorizing Cora’s endgame before making all the necessary preparations. Once night fell, they met at a roadside pull-off along a beltway.
When Joseph walked up to Cora’s car, her bodyguard stepped out, leaving the two of them alone to talk.
There was a faint smell of alcohol inside the car, and Cora’s cheeks were slightly flushed. She was clearly a little tipsy.
Joseph asked, “So what’s this grand masterplan of yours?”

aring that, Joseph instantly understood her angle. She had already established before the relevant personnel, as her witnesses, that her daughters weren’t biologically related to Skylar.
Once Skylar was gone, there’d be no one left to contradict her. And from then on, Joseph would never again be able to use Skylar to make his case.
With that, she could completely clear her name of everything slie’d done with Skylar. The stain on her reputation would be gone, and overnight, she’d be pure and virtuous again.
Joseph asked, “Why come to me? You could easily pull this off yourself, couldn’t you?”
“If I do it, it’ll attract too much attention. But you can make it happen without anyone noticing. You went from literal nobody to shooting straight to the top with the little opportunity Yara gave you. I knew right then you weren’t ordinary.
