After dropping Abigail off, Fiona went to Cora’s place to report back.

“Oh? Henry actually rejected Abigail? He’s that cautious?”

She mused, “He isn’t going to fool around before getting married? Then what, he’ll do it after the wedding?

As she thought about how unstoppable Henry’s rise had been, she could feel the pressure mounting.

She turned to Fiona. “Did he turn you down too?”

Secretly alarmed, Fiona remarked inwardly, “So Cora still wants to hand me over to him…”

She said, “He knows about my condition. And besides, I think he was only trying to disgust us before. He wouldn’t really want me.”

“If Henry doesn’t want women, then what he wants must be money and power. His influence in the Zahn family will only continue to grow.

“Once he has the Zahn family firmly in his grasp, he’ll probably come after us next. By then, he’ll show us a completely different side of himself.

“Who would’ve thought he’d be the one to bring the Zahn family back to power?” Cora said.

“Should we stir up some conflict between him and Mr. Zahn Senior and the others now, and nip it in the bud?” Fiona asked.
