Ghost Seven stood before them, calm blue eyes visible beneath his hood. His gaze passed over the group and finally settled on Jared.

"You've arrived, Mr. Chance."

Jared inclined his head. "I appreciate you waiting for us, Ghost Seven."

"It's the least I could do," Ghost Seven replied in his low, rasping voice.

"This is your first time in the Twenty-First Firmament. Its terrain, laws, and balance of power are entirely different from those of the Twentieth Firmament, and all three are extremely complex.

"Without a guide, you could easily become entangled in trouble that has nothing to do with you."

Master Veridian looked Ghost Seven up and down, then glanced at the Starvault Belt beneath his feet. Bewilderment still covered his face. "You're Ghost Seven, right? There's something I'd like to ask.

"Where exactly are we standing? With worlds above us and below us, I'm starting to feel dizzy..."

"His body rests in the deepest reaches of the Nether Abyss. The ancestors of the Ghost Clan descended from the keepers of his tomb."

The group fell silent. Jared looked through layer after layer of the void toward the black abyss at the bottom, and a profound gleam passed through his violet eyes.
