Chapter 459
THIRD POV
The moment the strange wolf stopped moving long enough for Alexander to properly look at it, something inside him reacted uneasily.
Not just his suspicion.
Something deeper.
Instinct.
Aiden remained tense beneath the surface, every part of him still prepared for violence if necessary, but now there was more confusion mixed into it.
Because the closer Alexander got, the stranger this entire thing felt.
Slowly, Alexander shifted back into his human form.
The shift rolled through him quickly before he straightened fully beneath the cold night air.
Around the clearing, the surrounding wolves remained tense and alert, their glowing eyes fixed entirely on the other wolf.
Alexander began walking forward carefully.
Every instinct inside him remained sharp.
The wolf immediately stiffened at his approach.
Its eyes locked onto Alexander instantly.
And for some reason-
Alexander froze slightly inside.
Because those eyes looked familiar.
Something about them.
The look inside them… it was like he had seen this wolf before.
Alexander frowned faintly.
The wolf did not smell like Blood Crescent.
That much was obvious immediately.
But strangely enough

Alexander knew that scent.
Maybe not as a wolf.
As a person.
The realization made his chest tighten slightly.
Aiden stirred harder now.
Confused.
Watching.
Alexander’s eyes narrowed carefully.
The aura surrounding this wolf felt familiar too.
The presence, the energy.
And suddenly-
Pieces began connecting inside Alexander’s head one after another so fast it almost made him
stop walking entirely.
The strange reactions, the unstable behavior.
The fear in the eyes.
Alexander’s heartbeat slowed heavily.
No.
No way.
His mind immediately rejected the possibility even as the thought formed fully.
That was impossible.
Alexander stopped only a few feet away from the wolf now.
The wolf stared back at him, breathing hard.
Its body still looked tense and unstable, like it barely understood itself.
Alexander’s expression slowly shifted from suspicion to disbelief.
Then finally… almost hesitantly,
Alexander murmured,
O

“Roman?”
The name barely left his mouth before the wolf suddenly threw its head back and howled again.
The sound tore through the woods violently.
Several of the surrounding wolves instinctively moved back at the force of it. Only Alexander remained still.
Then immediately…
The wolf shifted.
The transformation happened fast and rough, like the wolf itself wasn’t fully in control yet.
Bones cracked sharply.
Muscles folded inward.
Fur disappeared rapidly beneath skin.
And within seconds-
Roman collapsed onto the forest ground in human form.
ALEXANDER
Roman hit the ground hard after the shift.
For a second, nobody moved.
The entire clearing had gone silent now except for Roman’s uneven breathing and the distant sounds of the forest around us.
I stood there staring at him.
My mind was trying to catch up with what I was seeing.
Roman.
Roman was the wolf behind that howl.
Roman was the alpha.
The realization itself felt almost impossible to process.
Because how?
How was this even possible?

< Chapter 459
This entire time, Roman had been presented as a weak and unstable rogue.
And yet moments ago, every wolf in Blood Crescent had heard his howl and instinctively recognized exactly what he was.
An Alpha.
Roman’s body suddenly shuddered violently on the ground.
Then again.
His hands pressed weakly against the dirt beneath him as though he was trying to steady himself somehow.
That was when I realized…
He was crying.
His breathing sounded rougher now.
“Roman,” I called his name.
Slowly, Roman lifted his head.
And when his eyes met mine-
I froze inside.
Because I could see it clearly now.
He was broken.
Not physically.
Something deeper than that.
There was so much pain in his expression that for a second it almost unsettled me more than the alpha howl itself.
Around us, the other wolves had already shifted back, though the tension remained heavy.
Nobody spoke.
Nobody seemed entirely sure how to react to this.
And honestly-
Neither did I.
Because standing here now, looking at Roman on the forest ground after witnessing that

transformation with my own eyes-
Roman was an alpha.
I inhaled slowly before finally forcing myself to move again.
Then, without taking my eyes off him, I gave the command calmly.
“Bring him back to the house.”
