Chapter 612
FAYE
I still didn’t know what exactly the medicine was for… what was wrong with Alexander. I wasn’t even sure if it was really for Alexander in the first place or just another coincidence.
Rather than sit there wondering, or waiting for him to calm down enough to answer me, I decided to call Dr. Adams.
If she had sent it, she would know exactly what it was for.
I picked up my phone and found her number. I pressed call and waited.
She answered after a few rings.
“Hello, Luna.”
“Hello, Dr. Adams.”
I glanced at the bottle in my hand.
“Alexander wanted me to find out about the dosage of the medicine you sent for him.”
It was easier than asking what the medicine was for. If there was something I needed to know, she would probably mention it somehow. I didn’t want her suspecting I was looking for information I wasn’t supposed to have.
There was a brief pause on her end of the call.
“Oh, I’m sorry about that. That was an oversight on my part,” Dr. Adams said.
“That’s alright, it happens sometimes,” I said.
“One tablespoon is enough for the day. Just add it to the Alpha’s tea or glass of water.”
I nodded slowly.
“Okay.”
“And he should take it at bedtime,” she continued. “It would make him drowsy, so it’s better that he takes it when he’s ready to sleep.”
“Noted,” I said.
I still wasn’t satisfied. But before I could figure out what else to say, she spoke again.

“It’s meant to help him sleep properly and relieve the stress and restlessness he’s been experiencing.”
I was quiet for a moment. So that was what it was… Not something serious. Just something to help him sleep and settle down.
“How long is he supposed to take it?”
“Three days should be enough. In fact, by the second day, he should be fine,” she said.
A quiet breath of relief escaped me. “Alright. Thank you, Doctor.”
“You’re welcome, Luna.”
ALEXANDER
The main house had started to feel suffocating.
I hadn’t realized how badly I needed to get away from it until I found myself walking toward the woods without any particular destination in mind.
I simply needed air. I needed to be somewhere quiet… Somewhere I could think without feeling as though the walls were closing in around me.
By the time I stopped, I was standing at the edge of the woods, close enough to the patrol route to hear the occasional movement of the guards.
Every now and then, one of them would pass by and greet me.
“Alpha.”
I would acknowledge them with a nod, and they would continue on their way. Apart from that, there was nothing… No conversations, no footsteps approaching, no one asking me questions.
Just the trees, the quiet, and the occasional sound of the guards moving through the patrol
route.
I welcomed the silence. For once, I didn’t want anyone around me. I took a deep breath, running a hand through my hair. I didn’t even know what I was supposed to think about first.
The headache was coming back gradually. And then I remembered the first time this whole thing had started a few days ago. It had been mild enough that I had been able to dismiss it. My wolf had stirred, and there had been that strange cold sensation in my chest. It had been

unsettling. I had felt restless, but not enough to make me think there was something seriously wrong.
That could really be Aiden acting up. But what happened earlier today hadn’t felt the same. It had been stronger… More aggressive.
The pressure in my chest had felt almost violent, as though something inside me had suddenly woken up and wanted out. The headache was terrible.
