Yulisa was destined to be the Lynn family's daughter-in-law! She couldn't be tainted with a public scandal.
"Brooke has already taken the blame. What more does that woman want?!" Rowena was vibrating with rage. If Starla hadn't insisted that an 'irrelevant' person couldn't take the fall, they never would have dragged their own family into this mess. Yet here they were—they had sacrificed Brooke, and Starla still wasn't satisfied. She was forcing them to choose between Yulisa and Rowena herself.
"Why?" Darian deadpanned. "Did you forget Yulisa is still her hostage?"
If it weren't for Yulisa, they wouldn't give a damn what Starla demanded. But she had the upper hand, which meant they had to play by her rules.
Reminded of Yulisa's captivity, Rowena's fiery temper cooled slightly, though she was still seething. "This isn't Starla's idea. I bet this is Tanya pulling the strings."
What did Starla have to do with this anyway? It had to be Tanya's petty revenge.
Darian fell silent again. If this was really Tanya's demand, then...
"You fix this," Rowena ordered, convinced Tanya was the mastermind. As for taking the blame? Neither she nor Yulisa would do it. If Yulisa was publicly disgraced, she could never marry Darian. Rowena absolutely refused to let that happen.
With that, Rowena stormed out.
Darian tried calling Tanya, but she had blocked his number. He had no way of reaching her. Left with no options, he called Starla again.
She picked up...
"You only need to give me a result, not your thought process," Starla said coldly, assuming he had made his choice.
"I need to talk to Tanya!" he demanded, assuming the two women were together.
"Stop wasting your breath and just handle it," Starla said dismissively.
"It is handled! Brooke—"
"Brooke is getting ripped to shreds online as we speak!" Starla cut him off sharply. "She's your own sister."
It was precisely because they had thrown Brooke under the bus that Starla refused to back down, even if Tanya had asked her to. Starla knew all too well the agony of being betrayed by family. She had never met Brooke, but she pitied the girl.
Listening to Darian's heavy breathing over the line, Starla added with dripping sarcasm, "A blood sister isn't as important as your little 'buddy,' huh?"
The word 'buddy' was laced with pure venom. Darian had always claimed Yulisa was just a platonic friend.

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
Finally😊...
More chapters please 🥺...
