A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 1091

Fairfax Yelchin stared at Rudolf, his expression heavy with suppressed emotion. His entire consciousness seemed to weave through a chaotic haze... Meanwhile, Amos Kunan and Garret had swept through Shark Sea as fast as they could.

The entire place was an absolute bloodbath!

It was horrifyingly obvious what had transpired before they arrived.

Amos stepped close to Fairfax and whispered, "Lazar is dead."

"And her?" Fairfax asked, his lips trembling the moment he opened his mouth.

His blood ran ice-cold, and he could barely hear his own voice. It felt as if his entire world had been wiped completely blank.

The suffocation was unbearable.

It hurt. It hurt so much...

It wasn't just an ache in his chest; the sharp, agonizing pain seemed to pierce through every fiber of his being, making his vision turn black around the edges.

"We found these," Amos said, handing him Starla's necklace and cell phone.

Fairfax didn't take them.

He just looked down at what Amos was holding.

The moment his gaze landed on that bracelet... it was as if every ounce of strength was instantly drained from his body. He collapsed, falling hard onto the ground.

It was hers!

She had worn that bracelet every single day since she left the Cyrus Sea. Over the years, no matter how much expensive jewelry he gifted her, that bracelet never left her wrist.

It was a relic left behind by her mother.

She never took it off.

But now...

Fairfax couldn't speak.

His world was collapsing all over again.

"Is this all?" he choked out, struggling to breathe.

If this was all they found, he wouldn't believe it. He refused to believe she was gone. No matter how important these items were to her, they were still just worldly possessions.

He had to find her...

"She's gone," Amos said bluntly.

"I'm asking you where the hell she is! Answer me!"

Amos remained silent.

Fairfax was incredibly stubborn right now, acting as though he would never give up until he laid eyes on Starla. Amos just watched him quietly.

"We're going back. I'm taking her home. I have to take her back... I have to..."

Seeing Amos hesitate to speak, Fairfax roughly understood what had happened. The pain in his chest grew so suffocating that his entire body shook violently.

Even the words spilling from his mouth were spiraling out of his control.

"Take her home... I have to take her back... I have to take her back!" he babbled, his voice trembling uncontrollably.

Taking Starla home had somehow become his singular, desperate obsession.

"Then, let's go," Amos finally conceded.

Seeing that Fairfax wouldn't rest until he saw her, Amos had no choice but to lead the way.
