Darian looked down and pressed a soft kiss to her lips. "Stop comparing me to Fairfax. I'm not him."

He had seen the disaster of Fairfax Yelchin's life firsthand. Darian knew perfectly well that if he stayed and let his family pull the strings, he and Tanya would be driven toward a terrible, destructive end.
