The fallout for the Lynn family was going to be massive.
"The people who caused this mess aren't panicking, so why should I?" Darian replied smoothly.
Tanya stared at him. The people who caused the mess? That was certainly one way to look at it.
"If they love Yulisa so much, they can marry her themselves," he added nonchalantly.
Trying to force her onto him was a losing game. Now his family was furious that he had walked out. But hadn't they considered the consequences of pushing him to the brink? Let them be angry. Darian truly didn't care.
He glanced at Tanya, his voice softening. "Come here. Let me hold you."
Since they had left, Tanya's attitude toward him had thawed significantly. Aside from the initial shock, she was clearly warming up to him again. After all, neither of them had truly believed he would drop everything and run with her.
She stepped forward, and when she was close enough, he pulled her into his lap.
"Do you trust me now?" he asked.
"Your version of taking responsibility is... unique," she admitted.
It was a crazy stunt, but she couldn't deny that seeing him act this way gave her an immense sense of security. If he hadn't been so blindly trusting of Yulisa in the beginning, they never would have ended up in this mess.
"No matter how unique it is, it was the only path we had left," he murmured.
The only path. She knew he was right. Before he made this move, she had seen their relationship as a dead end. She had never believed a mature, powerful CEO who controlled the entirety of Lynn Group would do something so recklessly impulsive.
Yet, he had. He had defied everyone's expectations.
He knew everything. He had always been aware of his family's hostility toward her. The real issue hadn't been his family, but his brief lapse in judgment regarding Yulisa. Even now, the root of the problem was Yulisa. Darian still couldn't fathom how his family could demand he marry her after her reputation had been so thoroughly ruined.
"Tanya, you have to believe in me, okay?" He held her tight and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
Trust him?
"But before, with Yulisa..."
"Stop." He cut her off, wincing. "Please, let's not go there."
A man only had to make one mistake regarding another woman for his partner to hold a massive grudge. He finally understood why Starla had been so irreparably broken by Fairfax's repeated failures with Brinley. It made perfect sense why Starla had refused to forgive him.

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
