"Yes, sir," David nodded.
He didn't know exactly who she was, but the mere association with the Yelchin family was enough to incite disgust. The audacity to corner Starla the moment she returned.
A terrifying, lethal coldness radiated from Elmer.
"Take care of it," he ordered. Four simple words, carrying a death sentence.
David blinked, momentarily caught off guard. "Dispose of her completely?"
"She's been by Mr. Hoggart's side for quite some time," David pointed out gently, implying that Yardley might have genuine feelings for her. Killing her might fracture the father-son relationship.
Elmer scoffed. "Do I care? After the absolute hell my daughter has been through, all because that idiot son of mine was too blind to see what was happening right under his nose? What is one woman's life worth?"
