Tanya let out a breath of relief, but her eyes locked onto the bloody scalpel, and her chest tightened again. "Is that..."
What the hell had happened in that car? She swallowed her questions and instead wrapped her arms tightly around Starla. "It's okay. It's over now. You're safe."
Starla closed her eyes. "It's over."
Tanya stayed silent, knowing she meant Fairfax. Given how quickly everything went down, she could only imagine what that scalpel had been used for. Her embrace tightened fiercely. "None of this is your fault."
