After Fairfax and Starla left, the hospital was a war zone of frayed nerves. Darleen felt a suffocating tightness in her chest, and Xenia couldn't stop complaining.
“I just don't get what Fairfax is thinking. I thought he liked obedient women,” she grumbled.
Of course, the old Starla hadn't been particularly docile either, convincing Fairfax to move out and taking over the beautiful Petal Villa.
Darleen’s head was pounding. Xenia’s constant chatter was making it worse.
“That’s enough! Stop talking about her!”
“I’m just so angry! Brinley is so much better for him,” Xenia pressed on.
Brinley, meanwhile, had gone to see Harriet. The thought that Starla had also managed to put Harriet in the hospital only intensified Darleen’s frustration.
...
In Harriet’s room, the mood was just as bleak. When Clyde returned without Starla, Harriet’s already bruised face contorted with anger.
“What happened? I told you to invite her here!”
She had stressed the word ‘invite.’ Harriet rarely used that word for anyone who wasn't a top business partner. This time, she had no choice. She had instructed Clyde to be polite, to be deferential, and he had still failed.
“She refused to see you,” Clyde reported. “Her attitude was… hostile.”
“I don’t care about her attitude! You should have dragged her here if you had to!”
“She wouldn’t come, no matter what I said,” Clyde explained, feeling helpless.
“Get everything ready. I’m going to Yoran Country.”
“Now? But you…” Clyde trailed off, glancing at Harriet’s bruised and battered body. She could barely move. It was hardly the time for an international trip.
But Harriet couldn’t wait. “I know I can’t walk. Get me a wheelchair.”
Things were spiraling out of control. If she didn’t get to Yoran Country and fix this now, it would only get worse. Her recovery would have to wait.
Brinley, who had been listening, asked, “Is there no other way?”
“A way? You were her sister-in-law for years. You know what she’s like,” Harriet said dismissively. “She’s just a sparrow that crawled out of the gutter. Flying up to a palace perch doesn’t make her an eagle.”

Why The ML is Idiot 😂😂😂 i Dont understand,i Think herbert is more suitable to become the ML he is most compose and calm than the ML 😂😂...
"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
