The soup had been fed to Fairfax by Starla's own hand, and he was now in the hospital fighting for his life. Those were the undeniable facts. The police informed Starla she would have to come with them for questioning, but she knew exactly what that meant. Once she was in their custody, the Yelchin family would pull every string to ensure she never saw the light of day again.
Xenia glared at her with venomous hatred. "After what you've done, you can expect to rot in a cell for the rest of your life."
She was certain that this time, Starla had gone too far. Not even Herbert could save her now. Her mother was already making arrangements to manufacture a mountain of evidence that would seal Starla's fate.
Faced with Xenia's threats, Starla only smiled with dismissive contempt. As she walked past, Xenia grabbed her arm, hissing, "You are unbelievably arrogant."
She stared at Starla, infuriated by the mocking smile that remained on her face even at a moment like this. Now, Brinley's reputation in Marina City was in tatters because of this woman, and the entire Yelchin family's name had been dragged through the mud. Xenia's own marriage prospects were now at risk, and she hated Starla for it.
Starla leaned in slightly. "You're quite fond of Herbert, aren't you?"
Xenia's face paled. "What are you planning now?"
"With an attitude like yours, it's no wonder Herbert wants nothing to do with you," Starla said conversationally. "And if the Farley family elders ever approved of a match, I'd have to assume they'd gone senile."
"You—"
"You and Herbert," Starla declared with finality, "will never happen."
"You… you…!" Xenia sputtered, her rage boiling over. "Take her away! Get this venomous witch out of my sight!"
She had harbored a secret love for Herbert for years and was finally making progress. To hear Starla dismiss her chances so cruelly was more than she could bear.
Starla met his gaze with a knowing, raised eyebrow.
"I'm so sorry, we had no idea… we truly didn't know who she was…" the officer stammered into the phone. "So what now? Should we take her to Cosmos Summit? Yes, yes, of course. My deepest apologies. We will apologize properly to Ms. Lansbury and take her to Cosmos Summit immediately."
He had just hung up when the car screeched to a halt. A black Maybach had pulled in front of them, blocking the road.
"What's going on?" the officer demanded, peering ahead.
The driver had already recognized the figure emerging from the car. "It's Herbert Farley."

Why The ML is Idiot 😂😂😂 i Dont understand,i Think herbert is more suitable to become the ML he is most compose and calm than the ML 😂😂...
"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
