After hanging up, Starla went upstairs to change.
Garret followed her, fretting. “Mr. Hoggart was very clear. Your health is unstable, you can’t go anywhere.”
“Don’t worry. Now that Fairfax is out of my life, my health will be perfectly stable,” she retorted. Every time she had seen Fairfax recently, he had been dragging her around, especially to the hospital for every little thing involving Brinley. It was a miracle her health hadn't completely collapsed. Now that he was gone, she would only get better.
Garret looked at her, conflicted. “But your last…”
“I promise, I won’t be walking much. It’s just a few steps from the car.” She had checked the address; Dolores was in a small hospital, her room on the second floor.
As Garret was about to protest again, Starla’s voice softened with a hint of sorrow. “She’s someone important to me. This is my last chance to see her. I have to go.”
Hearing the finality in her tone, Garret swallowed his objections. These were special circumstances, after all.
As soon as Starla got in the car, her phone rang with an unknown number. She answered to find Darleen on the other end.
“Did you have someone pick up the divorce papers?” Darleen’s voice was sharp.
“Yes,” Starla replied coolly. “The divorce is being processed as we speak.”
Darleen let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. After everything that had happened, she wanted nothing more to do with Starla. Let Starla spend the rest of her days in prison while she continued her life as Mrs. Yelchin. The death of her granddaughter wouldn’t be forgotten just because of a divorce.
If she could, Darleen wouldn't give her a single cent.
“Even if it’s just the marital assets from the last three years, five billion would be a conservative estimate. Why only one billion? When did the Yelchins become so modest?”
Starla knew exactly how vast the Yelchin Group’s holdings were, spanning multiple industries with immense wealth.
Listening to Starla’s calm analysis, Darleen felt her blood boil.
“What have you contributed to this family over the years? How dare you demand that much money?”

Why The ML is Idiot 😂😂😂 i Dont understand,i Think herbert is more suitable to become the ML he is most compose and calm than the ML 😂😂...
"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
