Now, they all were trapped in the Yelchin estate, which felt more like a prison than a home. Brinley thought Starla's actions were cruel and disgusting, completely forgetting how they had treated her in the past. Starla was merely returning the favor, with interest.
...
The next morning, Darleen was up early, though she had gone to bed late. When Starla came downstairs, she was already busy in the kitchen. Seeing her diligent act, a knowing smile touched Starla's lips.
Sure enough, Garret approached and whispered something in her ear. The smile on Starla's face widened. "They never learn, do they?" she murmured. "It seems the previous lessons weren't enough."
Garret shot a dark look in Darleen's direction. She had been unusually industrious, waking before anyone else despite her late night. By the time Starla's staff came down, she had already washed all the vegetables for breakfast. Such abnormal behavior was highly suspicious. But even if she had acted normally, they would have been on guard.
When Darleen saw Starla, she hurried over with a glass of milk. "I just warmed this. The temperature is perfect."
Starla raised an eyebrow. "You went to bed so late last night. Why are you up so early?" she asked, a playful smile lingering on her lips.
That smile was like a dagger in Darleenโs heart. The bitch was the only one who found anything amusing now. Darleen suppressed her fury and replied, "I wanted breakfast."
Starla's eyes twinkled, and her smile deepened. It was a plausible excuse. After being starved for two days, the small portion of food from last night wouldn't have been nearly enough. But she didn't believe for a second that Darleen would bow her head for food.
Soon, breakfast was served. Darleen handed Starla a fork. "I've finished my work."
"Alright then. Eat."
Starla watched her retreating back, her smile growing wider. "Garret."
"Yes, Miss."
"Go and get Xenia, Fairfax, and Brinley. Have them join us for breakfast."
Darleenโs heart leaped into her throat.
"A family should be together," Starla added sweetly. "After all, the Yelchins have always presented a united front to the world."

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
