Fairfax was seeing red. He immediately called his assistant, Gabriel, who answered on the first ring. “Sir.”
“Find out where Tanya and my wife are.”
Gabriel paused for a second. “Right away, sir.”
“Immediately!” Fairfax roared.
What was she thinking, running off on a night like this, with the rain coming down so hard? She’d burned everything that connected them. She’d thrown tantrums before, but never like this. For the first time, a sliver of panic pierced his anger.
Ten minutes later, Gabriel called back. “Mrs. Yelchin is at the Maple Heights apartments.”
Fairfax frowned. “What’s she doing there?” He didn’t know any of their friends who lived in that building.
“Tanya Mercer is with her.”
At the mention of Tanya, Fairfax’s expression soured. In his opinion, best friends were nothing but trouble, filling a woman’s head with bad ideas. Nothing good ever came from Starla and Tanya getting together.
By the time Fairfax arrived at Maple Heights, Starla, drained from the day’s events, had already fallen asleep. Tanya had left a little while earlier; Starla had refused to go back with her, so Tanya was heading home to arrange for someone to come and look after her.
Starla had just drifted off when a frantic ringing of the doorbell jolted her awake. Thinking Tanya had forgotten something, she stumbled to the door and opened it.
“What did you for…”
His cavalier tone, which all but screamed ‘I know you’re faking it,’ reignited her fury. Starla lashed out, kicking him squarely in the stomach.
Caught off guard, Fairfax grunted in pain and stumbled back, releasing her arm. Seeing her bristling like a porcupine, he felt a headache coming on.
“You’ve thrown your fit, you’ve burned our things. Are you still not done?”
Starla’s eyes grew even colder. Done? Oh, this time, someone was going to pay before she was done. She let out a short, sharp laugh.
The mockery in the sound grated on his nerves. “Fine,” he sighed, the picture of weary patience. “It’s my fault. It’s all my fault, okay? Now, let’s go home.”
He reached for her again.

Why The ML is Idiot 😂😂😂 i Dont understand,i Think herbert is more suitable to become the ML he is most compose and calm than the ML 😂😂...
"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
